Manchester United are being joined by Spanish giants Real Madrid in the race to sign FC Barcelona superstar Neymar Jnr.
The player has a release clause of around €190M in his contract and this sum is seen as realistic when looking at the spending power of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris St. German; who are all interested in the Brazilian international.
Reports states that Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez would be looking to prize Neymar away from the Nou Camp should current world footballer of the year; Cristiano Ronaldo leave the Santiago Bernabue. This deal looks highly unlikely to happen, as the last player of note to move from Barcelona to Real Madrid and vice versa was Javier Saviola in 2007 and back then the rivalry isn’t as tense as it is now between the two of Spain’s most successful sides.
The Red Devils and the Parisians stand a better chance of acquiring the services of the talented Brazilian provided they can trigger his release clause.
Neymar confirmed that United made several attempts to sign him during the summer but Barcelona were not interested in selling but the Catalan giants would have little say if his release clause is met.
