Wolfsburg defender Dante has moved to clear up the recent speculation surrounding his future.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Stamford bridge.
Some publications attributed quotes to the 32 year old saying it would be a dream to sign for Premier League outfit, Chelsea.
However, it has been revealed that it was a case of mistaken identity as the quotes were originally said my Mali under 17 starlet Abdoul Dante, who recently helped his team to reach the Under 17 world cup final.
“It’s been difficult and confusing for me,” the Daily Mail quotes Dante as saying. “I couldn’t understand why peoplewere calling me and asking about Chelsea.
“I only left Bayern [Munich] in the summer. I’ve got a three-year contract with Wolfsburg so I’ve nothing to look for. I don’t know the other Dante but it’s his dream, not mine!”.
Dante won the Champions league with Bayern Munich in 2013 and was part of the Brazil squad in the 2014 world cup that was held in Brazil.
Dante was reportedly offered to Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal last summer when Bayern Munich was interested in taking Angel Di Maria to Germany but the deal collapsed when Di Maria chose Paris St Germain instead.
