Chelsea striker, Diego Costa luckily avoided more problems after his team lost to Stoke City on Saturday.
Moments after the game on Saturday, a member of the Stoke City’s security staff reported the striker to the match referee after an incident on the touchline.
Sky Sports reported that Costa was subjected to allegations of assault but a Chelsea spokesman regarded the news as “utter nonsense”.
It is understood that both clubs resolved the matter amicably.
Chelsea lost the game 1- 0 after Marko Arnautovic scored the winner, condemning the blues to their seventh league defeat of the season.
Tv replays showed the Striker going to the touchline to get the ball for a throw in and making contact with the steward with his foot.
The blues striker had many clashes with the Stoke City’s defenders and wasn’t punished for any of them.
Mark Taylor who was the referee of the day will make mention of the striker’s incident with the steward in his match report, but its likely further action will not be taken.
The Striker served three match ban after being charged with violent conduct after the game against Arsenal at Stamford bridge in September.
