There is a rumour making the rounds that Manchester United are poised to make a shock swoop for Leicester City attacker Riyad Mahrez, but Leicester City Manager Claudio Ranieri has urged the player to forget about making a move to big teams until he has ‘’grown up’’ more.
According to the Daily Star, the Leicester City Coach was quoted as saying ‘’ I think it is important for him to continue with us and to learn more. It is one thing to play for Leicester and another to plat at the highest level. When you arrive at the top, when you play well it is normal, so you must do something more. It is another very important step so it is important he grows up with me here’’.
Ranieri’s assertions is sometimes true, Manchester United signed Wilfred Zaha from Crystal Palace after the youngster performed exceptionally well for his Palace side.
Zaha was said to be the ‘’next Cristiano Ronaldo’’ but found it hard to step up into the next level because of the weight of expectations at Old Trafford; he was eventually loaned back to Palace before making a permanent move back to Selhurst Park.
Mahrez; (24yrs.) is a delight to watch on the ball, he already has 7 goals in 11 appearances this season and is also responsible in setting up 7 other goals for Leicester city.
A typical kind of player that United coach Louis Van Gaal has been looking for, he has pace, skills and creativity. United would have to fend off interest from fellow title contender Arsenal for the players signature with Barcelona also reported to be monitoring Mahrez’s situation
