Chelsea are preparing to offer in-form winger, Willian a new contract.
The People reports that talks have already taken place between the club and Willians camp.
The club is willing to reward the Brazilian for his fine performances this season and also fend off interest from Paris St Germain and Bayern Munich who are monitoring the winger’s situation at Stamford Bridge.
The Sun reports that the Brazilian will be rewarded with a deal of about £100,000 per week, the winger’s current deal expires in 2018 and the West London club are keen to do a deal as soon as possible.
Willian has been the blues best player this season. The Brazilian has shone in majority of the club’s games this season despite their poor form and horrendous result. The winger scored a superb free kick against Dynamo Kiev on Wednesday and was also instrumental in the blues 2-2 draw with Newcastle earlier in the season after going down 2-0.
The Winger’s performances have attracted interest from PSG and Bayern Munich but the Brazilian is keen to stay at Stamford bridge and acquire the Status Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard enjoyed at the club, He said:
My hope is to carry on working the same way I am doing right now, and maybe in the future I would like to be recognised by the Chelsea supporters as one of those leaders.
Becoming a key player is an obligation for me. I am at a stage in my career, 27, where you can reach the peak. The best time for players should be between 27 and 30.
With his current form, the Brazilian will soon be a fan favourite at the club and if his performances continues, he could well earn such reputation as Lampard and Drogba.
