Minority Shareholder at Monaco, Alessandro Proto revealed few weeks back that the French club is interested in Jose Mourinho and since then confirmed his desire to lure the Portuguese to France.

Proto claims he was at London with Roman Abramovich where he tried to prise away the blues manager by offering Abramovich £35million, but Abramovich rejected the offer. However, Proto thinks Roman Abramovich will be willing to do business for £71million.

Jose Mourinho has stated that he would love to remain at Chelsea until his current contract expires but with the club’s recent defeat against stoke which was the West London’s side seventh loss in 12 premier league games it remains to be seen if Abramovich will axe or keep faith with his manager.

Proto’s Monaco and a host of other clubs will be closely monitoring events unfolding at West London in the coming days.
