Manchester United defender Luke Shaw appears to be on the right track as he steps up his recovery from the horrendous leg-break he suffered earlier this season. The defender posted some pictures of him in the gym on a bike and in the swimming pool on his social media accounts, as he works his way back to full fitness.
Tough bike session today, still early days but I’m working hard on my recovery!! pic.twitter.com/9Tss5YDDEm

Shaw has been reported to join the rest to his United team mate for the club’s Christmas party without the aid of clutches and the protective boot which he has worn, since suffering a double fracture to his leg in Manchester United’s match against PSV Eindhoven in September.
Manchester united has struggled to find a replacement for Shaw on the left side of the defence since his injury. Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind have all deputised for the red devils in that position since his injury; currently, Argentine international Marcos Rojo has been doing exceptionally well and is hoping to make the position his.
The red devils has been linked with Valencia FC left back Jose Luis Gaya for the January transfer window; the 20 year old is seen as a replacement for Luke Shaw and he commands a huge buy-out clause of around £40M-£50M. With the seemingly speedy recovery of Luke Shaw, United could invest such amount in other department of the squad that needs strengthening while making do with Marcos Rojo and any other player that have been deputising in the left back for United.
