Manchester United have received good news on Luke Shaw’s injury.
The 20 year old signed from Southampton last season for £30 million and was plagued with series of injuries and lack of fitness all through the season. Shaw had a fantastic summer and did a lot of work on his fitness.
Shaw started the season in fine form and was showing the talents that made United splash so much cash for his services only for him to pick up a serious double fracture on match day 1 against PSV Eindhoven. A strong tackle by Hector Moreno practically ended Shaw’s participation for the remainder of the season.
According to the Daily Express, Manchester United Coach Louis Van Gaal has called the 20 year old’s recovery as unbelievable. Van Gaal said that Luke Shaw is already back at Carrington and the defender is already walking with the aid of a brace and may still make the England squad for Euro 2016.
Manchester United have struggled to find a replacement for Shaw on the left side of the defence since his injury. Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind have all deputised for the Red Devils in that position and none has been able to hold it down like Shaw was doing before his injury.
A quick return from the injury would be a huge boost for United and England although it would be better not to rush the young defender so as not to experience a set-back.
