Manchester United STARTING XI vs Crystal Palace

Manchester United made eight changes to the team that started in the Capital One cup loss to Middlesbrough with Sergio Romero replacing David De Gea in goal, Daley Blind partnering Chris Smalling ahead of Phil Jones, Carrick and Pereira marshalling the midfield instead of Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger while the trio of Jesse Lingard, Marouane Fellaini and Memphis Depay replaced Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Anthony Martial and finally James Wilson played in the striking role in Wayne Rooney’s omission.

In the match against Crystal palace we expect coach Louis Van Gaal to recall his first choice players back to the starting line-up. Here is how the team would possibly file out:

Goal keeper

David Degea to replace Sergio Romero.

Central Defence

Chris Smalling would retain his place and Phil Jones will replace Daley Blind.

Right back

Antonio Valencia will come in to replace Mateo Damien.

Left back

Marcos Rojo will retain his position as the left back.


Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger would be preferred to Michael Carrick and Pereira in the starting line-up.

Right Wing

Jesse Lingard would be on the bench while Juan Mata starts in his place.

Left wing: Memphis Depay played poorly against Middlesbrough and doesn’t deserve to start, in his place Ashley young will should come in after recovering from injury

Supporting Striker

Ander Herrera thrives in this position; he is good at running into space and creating chances for the main striker or scoring himself.


Anthony Martial should spare head the attack let’s get a chance to feel his predatory instinct in front of goal.
