A shareholder at Monaco – Alexandro Proto, has claimed that he has already made approach to sign under pressure Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho.
Proto, an Italian claims that he is trying to install the Portuguese as the French club’s next boss.
According to reports, it is claimed that the Portuguese second spell as a manager at Chelsea is coming to an end with reports claiming that the 52 year old has the Liverpool game to keep his job at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are currently occupying 15th position on the league table after their worst start to a Premier league season and are 11 points behind table toppers Manchester City.
Defeat against Liverpool who recently changed manager and brought in Jurgen Klopp will most likely see Mourinho lose his job but as it is, it appears that Monaco is already waiting in the wings should Chelsea feel its time to part company with the most successful manager in the club’s history.
Proto told Spanish tabloid Sport that: “On Saturday night the first contact was made with Jose Mourinho about training Monaco.”
“We are still in a very early stage but we are convinced that Mourinho could train Monaco.”
“It is claimed that Proto is ready to pay the blues €20 million to release the Portuguese of his contract.”
“Monaco sits 8th in ligue 1 with 17 points after 11 games this season.”
