Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is still hopeful of bringing Manchester united Spanish goal keeper David Degea to the Bernabue.
Real Madrid and Manchester United were involved in one of the toughest transfer saga in recent times.
United boss Louis Van Gaal has reiterated his stance that his number one goal keeper is not for sale, but the Spanish goal keeper was keen on securing a deal to Real Madrid without offending the United fans.
The United hierarchy have named their asking price telling Real Madrid to meet the goalkeepers buyout clause but the Madrid hierarchy were playing smart with the hope that the United hierarchy will sell the goalkeeper to them or risk losing the him for free because the goalkeeper was in the last year of his contract and would leave under the BOSMAN rule.
Real Madrid proposed a swap deal deciding to send Kaylor Navas plus cash to Manchester United for David Degea’s services which was later accepted by Manchester United only for the deal to fail to materialise at the last minutes because all necessary documents didn’t get to the Spanish FA before the transfer window closed.
United have successfully tied Degea to a new deal and would be in the commanding position should Real come to bid for David Degea. Perez would have to meet the buyout clause stipulated in the goalkeeper’s contract or forget about signing the United shot stopper. At the moment it would be a win-win situation for both parties as United will receive cash plus an impressive goal keeper in Navas while Real Madrid would have their target David De Gea
