Barcelona boss Luis Enrique was pushed by the media to clarify reports of interest coming from the Premier league for club’s superstar Lionel Messi.
Top media sources in England and Spain have claimed that Premier league trio Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have received some encouragements from Messi’s camp in recent weeks due to the Argentine’s legal battle in Spain.
When pressed on the situation, Enrique responded: “I have not spoken to Messi on the possibility of moving to the Premier League.
“I met him and talked about his injury.
“He is going through a normal rehabilitation and we look forward to him coming back.
“But we did not talk for long and we did not talk about if he should move to the Premier League, so you have to ask him when the opportunity arises.”
The Argentine have been linked with a move to England and Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City are said to be willing to pay a world record transfer fee for the Argentine while Chelsea hope to use Cesc Fabregas to lure the Argentine to West London.
