Stoke City

The Potters defeated Fulham in the previous round of the Capital One cup and was later rewarded with a tie against Chelsea. Mark Hughes side will face Chelsea on Tuesday and will be hoping to get one over the blues as they look to bounce back from their two nil defeat in the hands of Watford. The potters were in a good run of form before their game against Watford and Mark Hughes side will be desperate to return to winning ways as they face a Chelsea side that is struggling at the moment.

The Blues are currently finding it difficult to kick start their season, Jose Mourinho’s side have been defeated seven times this season – their worst start to a league campaign.

Most of the clubs senior players are struggling with form and the Capital One cup is a good opportunity for Jose to introduce hungry youths like Kennedy and Loftus Cheek into the team.

Nemanja Matic who received a red card for two bookable offense against West Ham will not be part of the team traveling to stoke. Either John Obi Mikel or Loftus Cheek will replace the suspended defensive midfielder and whoever gets the nod will be hoping to impress the manager.

The blues will still be without First choice goalie Thibaut Courtois and defender, Branislav Ivanovic. Pedro and Remy remains doubtful but either or both of them could be fit enough to face the potters.
