Southampton Line-up vs Liverpool: Mane, Pelle & Tadic START In ATTACK

Ronald Koeman and his men head out to Anfield to take on Jurgen Kloop and his side in Premier League’s Sunday evening kick-off.

Maarten Stekelenburg has recovered from the back problem that saw him miss out against Leicester last weekend, whilst Ronald Koeman has confirmed that James Ward-Prowse, Victor Wanyama and Steven Davis have overcome knocks for the trip to Anfield.

Cedric Soares is also in contention – he was forced off with an eye problem against the Foxes.

The back four of Ryan Bertrand, Virgil van Dijk, Jose Fonte and Soares should remain unchanged, although Maya Yoshida will be pressing for inclusion at Soares’ expense here. Jordy Clasie made his first appearance of the season against the Foxes and Koeman must decide whether he is fit enough to be considered for a start.

Ward-Prowse would likely keep his starting spot if Clasie isn’t risked against Liverpool. Further forward in the three advanced midfield positions, Sadio Mane, Davis and Dusan Tadic look set to start once again, with Jay Rodriguez – should he overcome a foot problem – providing the main alternative option.

Graziano Pelle will continue as the lone striker. Fraser Forster, Florin Gardos and Shane Long remain sidelined.

Having said this, here is how I expect the Saints boss to line-up his side against Liverpool.
