Manchester United and Manchester City will do battle this weekend at Old Trafford as both teams will be looking to topple the other to climb the top of the Premier league table.
Louis van Gaal made changes at the back in the wake of the defeat at Arsenal, with Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones coming in for Daley Blind and Ashley Young.
The other alterations saw Morgan Schneiderlin replace Michael Carrick, while Ander Herrera was recalled in the number ten role, with Memphis Depay dropping out.
Van Gaal opted to deploy Wayne Rooney as the lone striker, with Anthony Martial shifted out onto the left.
Ahead of the visit of Man City, the United boss seems likely to keep faith with Jones alongside Smalling in central defence. Matteo Darmian should return at right-back after a rest in midweek, while Rojo looks set to battle it out with Blind for the left-back berth.
Michael Carrick will be pushing for a recall in central midfield, though may have to contend with a bench role once more with Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger retained in the double-pivot.
Further forward, Depay will be pressing for a recall on the left of the attacking midfield trio, and this could see Rooney return to a deeper role, with Herrrera dropping out and Martial leading the line once again.
Juan Mata should return to complete the attack on the right, after a rest against CSKA Moscow. Ashley Young has returned to training but remains unavailable with a knock picked up last week, while elsewhere Luke Shaw and Paddy McNair remain on the sidelines.
Having said this, here is how I think LVG will line up his side against City.Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
