Paris St-Germain full-back Gregory van der Wiel has been offered to Premier League Champions Chelsea. The full-back is back on the radar of Jose Mourinho and it is expected that the blues will move to sign the defender in January.
Current first choice right back Branislav Ivanovic has been struggling this season with form an injury, Mourinho is said to be shopping for a new right back and has been offered the chance to sign van der Wiel from PSG.
Le 10 sport claims the Dutchman is being put up for sale by his club. The defender’s agent Mino Raiola has been contacted by the French club and the super agent was told to find his client a new club ahead of the winter transfer window.
Manchester United is also said to be keen on Van der Wiel and are monitoring the full-back’s situation at PSG. Louis Van Gaal is ready to move for the right back as he seeks cover for Matteo Darmian.
Van der Wiel is said not to be in Laurent Blanc’s plans for the future and the defender is free to find a new club for himself.
Chelsea was linked with a move for the Dutch man in the summer but a move never materialized.
