Desperate Mourinho Returns To Spain For Star Target, Tells Abramovich To Splash The Cash In January

Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho wants his club to sign France forward Antoine Greizmann, according to reports.

Blues boss Mourinho is insisting Roman Abramovich makes a huge offer to seal the transfer of Atletico Madrid forward Greizmann.

Mourinho is said to be a keen admirer of the French forward and failed in his effort to sign the winger last summer.

Spanish newspaper Fichajes claims Mourinho has not given up on signing the forward and that the West London club could make a huge offer for the 24 year old soon.

It is reported that the huge bid that Mourinho has asked Abramovich to table is closer to the club record fee of £50 million that was paid for Fernando Torres.

Chelsea were said to have made enquiries about the Atletico Madrid front man last summer and it was believed that Chelsea could sign the forward with an extraordinary offer but the French man insisted he was happy at Atletico Madrid saying:

‘Nothing from anyone reached me and I repeat that I only want to help the team, I only think about Atletico. I have just arrived at this club and I want to grow even more with this team. Therefore my thoughts are fixed here.

Greizmann has scored 26goals in 45 appearances for Atletico Madrid since joining from Real Sociedad in 2014.
