According to the Daily Mirror, Radamel Falcao could be out of Stamford Bridge as his loan could be cut short earlier than expected. The newspaper claims that Falcao is not happy at Chelsea due to lack of opportunities to start games for Jose Mourinho’s side.
After being excluded from the squad that faced Aston Villa, the report states that there have been enquiries to Falcao’s agent about his availability in January. The striker has Diego Costa and Loic Remy ahead of him in the blues pecking order.
The Columbian had a torrid time at Manchester United last season and hoped he could get his career back on track at Chelsea but the striker has not been able to hit the ground running in West London and is now looking for a way out of London.
The 29 year old enjoyed the best spell of his career with Atletico Madrid where he scored 70 goals in 90 appearances. Reports also link him with a move to Barcelona as the Catalan giants are in search for another forward to replace Pedro who moved to West London last summer.
If Falcao is to leave Chelsea, both Chelsea and Monaco would have to agree on terminating the striker’s loan early. Jose Mourinho claimed that he signed the striker after club captain John Terry and his Partner Gary Cahill endorsed the striker but it seems the Portuguese has lost faith in the Columbian striker.
Falcao has scored 1 goal since joining the blues last summer and has failed to impress with the little opportunities he has been given.
