Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City on red alert over £275M deal for Messi
Three of the giants in English football; Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City have all been put on red alert on the availability of Argentine super star Lionel Messi. It would be recalled that Messi is facing a legal battle over alleged tax negligence and he’s considering a move away from Camp Nou.
According to the Guardian, the Catalan giants are ready to sell the player to any club but the buy out clause (£195M) must be paid in full.
Chelsea at the moment cannot flex their financial muscle like when Roman Abramovich took over the club, Manchester City are trying to stay within the financial fair play rule to avoid being sanctioned by UEFA leaving Manchester United who recently began their 1st year out of their 10 year deal with German kit makers Adidas worth £750M.
United have the cash and are not under the threat of going against UEFA financial fair play rule but if Messi is to leave Barcelona in the summer,it will be hard to come to Old trafford because of Van Gaal’s poor man management. French giants Paris St German will seems to be his likely destination as Messi would relish the chance to team up with fellow Country men Angel Di-Maria, Ezekiel Lavezzi and Javier Pastore.Follow Football News Arena on Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
