Chelsea are being linked with audacious moves for Spanish duo Koke and Isco in January, according to reports in Spain.
Koke, who plays for Atletico Madrid has been on the Blues radar for the past two seasons, he is again being linked with a potential switch to Stamford Bridge in January.
Spanish newspaper Sport claims that the West London side are keeping a close eye on the Spanish midfielder. The paper didn’t mention any transfer price but previous reports claims that Chelsea will have to dig deep into their purse and it is said that the Blues are ready to pay well over the midfielder’s release clause to tempt Atletico Madrid into selling their prized midfielder.
Madrid based paper Marca also reports that the Blues are keeping close tabs on another Spanish international, Isco. The reports claim that Jose Mourinho was impressed by what he saw of the Madrid midfielder when he watched Spain vs Ukraine Euro 2016 qualifier match reportedly scouting Ukraine’s Yarmolenko.
Isco is struggling for game time this season under new manager Rafael Benitez but Koke still remains an important part of Diego Simione’s side. Chelsea are struggling in the league this season and Roman Abramovich who has given his backing to Manager Jose Mourinho is said to be ready to back the Manager in the winter transfer window.
Isco has scored 12goals in 73 appearances for Real Madrid while Koke has 16goals in 151 appearances for Atletico Madrid.
Jose Mourinho’s side is keen on both players but it will take a lot of effort to convince both or either of the Madrid clubs to part with their players in January.
