Chelsea and Manchester United are set to miss out on the January signing of Atletico Madrid combative and creative midfielder Koke.
According to Koke’s agent Inaki Espizua, the player feels he is an integral part of the Atletico Madrid’s plan for the immediate future.
As always, Manchester United are linked with almost all the top players in World football today including Neymar, Thomas Muller, Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo. Chelsea on the other hand are short in confidence as evidence in their performance so far in the Premier League this season including their unconvincing performance against Aston Villa last weekend.
A player in the mode of Koke would be a fantastic addition to any squad but he won’t come cheap.
If Koke is to leave Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window, it will come with a crazy transfer fee in the region of £60 million, far from His buy-out clause which is in the region of £46 million.
Koke is worth every penny especially for Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea if they are to get their season back on track.
For Manchester United, they have enough quality in the midfield area and should rather focus on beefing up their defensive back-line.
