Done Deal: Chelsea Sign Ivanovic Replacement Ahead Of January Transfer Window

Chelsea TV yesterday confirmed that Chelsea under18 skipper Josh Grant has signed his first professional captain with the west London club. Grant who turned 17 on Sunday, signed his first two-year deal as a pro a day after his birthday.

Grant is a talented youngster with enormous potential as he seeks to follow the path of senior team captain John Terry into the first team.

Grant featured prominently in the U18 squad last season, The 17 years old who plays as a right back did not feature in any of the FA youth cup matches which the young blues won last season although made the bench for the two legs of the semi final and finals.

The signing of Grant was reported by the Club’s twitter account immediately after the newly turned 17 year old penned his first deal.

The page reads; “having logged four assists on Saturday before turning 17 on Sunday; @ Joshua_Grant1 signed his first professional contract today. Congrats!”.

The London born defender provided four assist against Swansea U18 last weekend and has been with Chelsea since the age of 8.
