Chelsea are said to be interested in signing French striker Paul-Georges Ntep as the club looks to improve their attacking line.
The striker has scored two goals already this season and has already provided four more for his teamates and has alerted a host of top European club to his talent with Chelsea watching the striker keenly.
Reports claim that there will be meetings between Chelsea and the players representative in a bid to lure the player to west London.
The pacey and skillful forward had been called up by French boss Didier Deschamps to play in friendly games. The Cameroon born forward made his debut earlier this year.
Ntep’s contract with Rennes expires in the summer of 2017, but the French club are looking to extend the youngster’s contract in order to get more money out of the transfer.
Chelsea who were said to have tabled a €55m bid for French prodigy Anthony Martial but was subsequently rejected by the former Monaco striker as he opted to join Louis Van Gaal’s Manchester United will now turn their attention to Ntep and are said to be willing to table a monster bid to win the Rennes striker’s signature.
