Arsenal club secretary David Miles came out stating how a cold chill went down his spine after being drawn to Bayern Munich’s Group during the Champions League draw.
Arsenal fans, on the other hand, are familiar with group F’s draw. With the fears justifiable after Bayern Munich shattered the Gunners campaigns in the round of 16 for two consecutive seasons – 2013 and 2014.
Despite encountering tough challenges ahead, club secretary, David Miles came out stating that he has no problems with the Champions League draw held in Monaco. According to Miles; the draw began ominously after being selected in the same group with Bayern Munich.
Overall, Arsenal are ecstatic with the outcome of the draw and despite having being knocked out two times by Bayern Munich, Arsenal has been granted the chance to prove
Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey has not forgotten the past encounters his club has had with German side Bayern and Greek side Olympiakos. Ramsey went on Twitter and stated that they have faced some clubs drawn in their group before but they are ready to show they are an able team.
Bayern’s Jerome was quick to add though that they are happy with the draw as any other way it would have been worse for the team. To him, the names in the group are tough opponents especially Arsenal – a club that has always been interesting to face.
However, Jerome added that the Londoners have always brought them luck in previous Champion League matches!
The sporting executive for the Bayern Munich team Matthias Sammer stated how ecstatic he was with the draw. However, he warned that his side is well aware that they have to play their level best as no team is a pushover.
Dinamo Zagreb has scooped the League year after year since 2006, and are not tp be considered pushovers.
Olympiakos, on the other hand, have scooped up numerous titles in Greece, and they too are a match not only for Bayern but the rest of the teams in the group.
Given such a trajectory, Arsene Wenger’s and his men should prepare well to meet tough contenders on their quest to lift the Champions League trophy.
