Arsenal fans could be in for a shock news before the transfer window closes at midnight, according to reports.
Wenger who recently signed Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez had hinted last weekend that it could be his last piece of transfer business this summer. But Italian Journalist Emanuele Giulianelli is claiming Wenger could still splash the cash on a top player should any be available in the final hours of the transfer Window.
According to the Mirror, Daniel Sturridge could be a Gunner when the transfer window closes this midnight. The report claims odds have been slashed for the Liverpool man to move to the Emirates before 11pm tonight.
Arsenal already have two strikers in Perez and Giroud but Wenger could be tempted to make a move for Sturridge to provide competition and cover for the duo. The striker has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield and could be interested in a move to the Emirates.
Sturridge has been a key player for Liverpool since he joined the club in January 2013 scoring 43 league goals in over 70 games. However since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp, he has been in and out of Liverpool squad and could be interested in a move away from Anfield.
