Chelsea are closing in on a transfer deal for Charlton Athletic forward Ademola Lookman, according to reports.
Lookman is 18 years of age but has broken into the Charlton Athletic first team this season, scoring 3 goals in 5 appearances for the Championship side.
The Sun say the Blues are keen to sign Lookman and are on the brink of a deal for the teenager in the January transfer window. The Youngster has also cut the attention of Premier League rivals Liverpool and Arsenal who are also keen on the youngster.
The Blues has the most players out on loan, it is reported that Chelsea have over 30 players out on loan and they are still in the hunt to prize away Lookman whom Arsenal have been scouting for a while now. It is clear that the Blues do not need Lookman as an instant replacement for Diego Costa, as Chelsea already have Loic Remy and Manchester United flop; Radamel Falcao as their other striking option.
Lookman is relatively too young to be leading the forward line of any top side in the Premier League, but with what he has shown already at Charlton Athletic, it is a clear indication that he is one for the future.
