Manchester United set to recall Tyler Blackett from his loan spell at Scottish Premier league champions Celtic according to Daily Mail.
United have been heavily hit with series of injuries at the defence line since the start of the season as virtually all the defensive players have gone out of the team injured at one point in time.
Luke Shaw suffered a double fracture during United’s Champions league opener against PSV while Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia both suffered shoulder and foot injuries respectively.
Phil Jones has been in and out of the squad with injuries while summer recruit; Matteo Darmien has also gotten a feel of the treatment table. Chris Smalling only just returned to the team in the 1-2 loss to Norwich after picking up a injury against Wolfsburg in the UEFA Champions League.
Reports now indicated that United are ready to recall Tyler Blackett from his loan spell to help cover up the growing list of injured positions left vacant. The 21 year old can play as a left back or in the central defence. Blackett made just seven appearances for Celtic including three Europa league.
The Red Devils have called up youngsters to help the defensive problems facing the team; Cameron Borthwick-Johnson, Axel Tuanzebe and Guillermo Varela into the first team; but Blackett is more experienced than this fellow youngsters as he had made series of first team appearances and has held his own.
