Manchester United manager has finally confirmed that new marquee signings will come to the Theatre of Dreams to increase the defensive options and continue the chase for the title this season.
United are set to sign 27 year old Poland international centre back Martin Glik in the January transfer window, according to reports.
According to Daily Express, Louis Van Gaal is a long term admirer of the 27 year old Torino defender who is one of the highest scoring defenders in the Serie A and has impressed fans with his stunning performances and great defending abilities.
However, the defender has ruled out a move to the Red Devils; according to the Daily Express and has signed a new deal with Torino to keep him at the club till 2020. Louis Van Gaal would have made do of the explosive centre back to patch up his defensive holes that has been exposed this past weeks after looking impenetrable since the start of the season, conceding the least goals before the last two weeks.
United will have to look elsewhere for defensive options as reports suggest that the Red Devils will launch a formal bid for Everton’s John Stones once the transfer window re-opens in January, they will be locked in a bidding war with Chelsea who have had several bids for the England defender rejected by the Toffees.
