Latest report suggests that Manchester United are ready to bring Lilly’s highly demanded playmaker Sofiane Bofal to Old Trafford in the January Transfer window.
The French man has already scored 6 goals for the Ligue 1 outfit this season in 17 appearances, better than what any United player has scored in the league this season from the midfield position.
United have been struggling to create and convert chances this season, majorly replying on holding on to possession without making any meaningful use of these possession in the final third of the pitch, which was exactly the case last weekend when they had high margin of the possession while Norwich sat back and defended as a unit knowing United would find it hard to create any meaningful chances.
The Moroccan international has a lot of distinguishing qualities that stands him out from the current United midfielders present at the club, he is skilful, loves attacking, has a good assist rate and most importantly score a lot of goals being a midfielder. Sofiane joined Lille from Angers, a club he represented from 2012-15.
He is relatively cheap to acquire and United would do with his work rate and creativity further in the field, to help Rooney and Martial thrive better.
United are not the only team courting Sofiane, as many other European heavyweight are linning up a move for the youngster, clubs like Manchester City, Inter-Milan, Liverpool and French Giants PSG, but Metro reports that United are believed to be favourite to land the talented player
