Arsenal could sign this year’s under 17 World cup top scorer Victor Osimhen in January, according to reports.
The striker was in high demand after leading his team to victory in the Under 17 world cup that was held earlier this year, it was reported that as many as nine clubs in Europe have enquired about the striker.
Tottenham were said to be leading the race to sign the striker at that time and it was even reported that the North London club had agreed a fee for the 16 years old.
However, another North London club Arsenal are set to snap up the striker ahead of their local rivals Tottenham after his agent confirmed the Gunners offer and suggesting that the striker could be on his way to the Emirates.
‘We’ve had many offers for Victor,’ said Gaffar Liameed.
‘But we’ve narrowed it down to Arsenal and Wolfsburg.’
The striker has also reportedly visited Wolfsburg training complex but the 16 years old Nigerian has set his sights on a move to the Emirates, as per the Sun.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool were reportedly among the club’s monitoring the striker’s situation but the Premier league trio are set to miss out on the youngster.
Osimhen won the under 17 world cup with Nigeria and won the golden boot of the tournament scoring 10 goals in 7 games.
