Reports from France claim that Manchester United have been offered Paris Saint German forward Edinson Cavani if they are willing to meet the £32 Million asking price.
According to French sport outlet L’Equipe, the Parisians are ready to sell the Uruguayan in the January Transfer window as they prepare for another summer signing of incomings and they are likely to add in January as well.
PSG are currently 15 points ahead of the chasing pack in Ligue1 so they can afford to offload Cavani in the January transfer without grave consequences to the league outcome.
The 28 year old was signed from Italian side SS Napoli on a 5 year deal in summer of 2013 for $84 Million, a fee which broke the record transfer move in the history of the Ligue 1, held by Monaco when they signed Colombian striker Radamel Falcao from Atletico Madrid for $79 Million.
Manchester United need s striker in the mode of Cavani that strikes fear to opposition defenders, he has presence, strength, very good in the air with his head and score goals with ease and creates chances too for team mates.
Despite the 28 year old being drifted to the wings to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the main striking position, Cavani has notched in 9 goals in 15 appearances for the French Giants; a figure which is embarrassingly higher than the entire United strikers have scored this season (martial 4, Rooney 2).
United should sign him for the required amount, as he would help turn the goal problem in United into a thing of the past.
