Reports suggest that Chelsea are tracing AS Monaco attacking midfielder, Bernardo Silva in the January Transfer window, with the reports stating that the player is attracting the attention of European giants Barcelona.
Italian outfit, Juventus are also said to be keenly interested in the Portuguese playmaker who only joined Monaco less than a year ago. The 21 year old has scored 3 times in 16 appearances for Monaco this season and has caught the eyes of some of Europe’s power house.
The French side are aware of potential suitors and should be willing to enter into negotiation with any team that is willing to stump out £21 Million for the talented youngster who’s contract with Monaco runs till the summer of 2020.
The Portuguese joined Monaco from one of Portugal’s top side; Benfica and Bernardo has been deemed as one of the finest playmakers in Europe this season which has led to Barcelona’s coach Luis Enrique to want to sanction a deal for the Portuguese after the Club’s transfer ban is lifted in January 2016.
Chelsea would love to have Bernardo in their ranks as he is not just a playmaker, he also add goals to his play, something that the other Chelsea playmakers i.e. Fabregas, Oscar and Hazard have all failed to do this season which is why Chelsea are struggling so far this term.
