Chelsea striker Diego Costa has reveled that his actions when Chelsea visited Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart lane was a mistake, according to Goal.com.
The player was left on the bench in Chelsea’s visit to Tottenham last two weeks and was caught throwing his bib at his manager after returning from his warm up during the match and the player has now admitted that he made a mistake.
Speaking to Onda Cero, he said:
“The bib [incident] is in the past. I made a mistake, but my relationship with Mourinho is amazing, we get on really well.
There are things you need to control, but the bib thing was an impulse.”
The striker has struggled to find form this season and his movements on the pitch during games prior to the Tottenham game wasn’t good enough, the reason he was dropped against Tottenham.
The striker was also seen arguing with his manager during the Blues Champions league game against Maccaibi Tel Aviv.
Although Mourinho claimed the pair settled their differences in the dressing room during the half time break, the player has now confirmed that his relationship with Mourinho is amazing.
Costa has scored just four goals for Chelsea this term with his last goal coming against Norwich City in November.
