Former Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor is set to return to England this week and is reportedly keen on moving to Stamford bridge, according to Squawka.
The Former Tottenham striker was released from his contract at Spurs last summer and has since then returned to Africa.
With the winter transfer window getting closer, the 31 year old is set to return to London with the hope of finding a new club when the transfer window opens in January.
Chelsea boss, Mourinho is said to be a keen an admirer of the forward, the Togolese was linked with a move to Stamford brige last summer but the Blues ended up signing Radamel Falcao from Monaco on a loan deal.
According to the Daily Mail via Squawka, the Portuguese is considering making a move for the Togolese international in January.
And now, the report further adds that the one time African Player of the Year award winner will complete a medical ahead of signing for the Blues in January before Mourinho and Abrahimovich seek a permanent striking solution in the summer.
The Blues are currently struggling to score goals and Mourinho is looking for a striker to compete with Diego Costa for the starting spot.
Adebayor has played football at the top level with Arsenal, Manchester and Tottenham Hotspur. He even had a loan spell at Real Madrid. One cannot really say what the Togolese will offer this current Blues side but his experience could be vital for them.
