Pep Guardiola wants to take over as Manchester United manager when he leaves Bayern Munich, according to reports.
Guardiola who is believed to be stalling on a new contract at Bayern Munich has been strongly linked with in recent days.
Chelsea are also rumoured to be keen on him, but the Mail on Sunday says Guardiola would favour taking charge at Manchester United over those options.
The Red Devils boss Louis Van Gaal has been subject of pressure due to United’s dull performances. United Legends in Paul Scholes, Rio Ferdinand, Roy Keane etc. have all been vocal about how poorly United attack has been under the Dutchman.
Van Gaal has promised to leave and then retire when his contract expires in 2017, but the news of Guardiola’s interest could change United’s plans.
