Real Madrid is interested in signing Liverpool’s left back Alberto Moreno, according to the Spaniard’s agent.
Moreno had an indifferent start at Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers and the Spanish international was out of the first team picture at the beginning of the season as Rodgers preferred Joe Gomez at left back ahead of the former Sevilla man.
However, Moreno has impressed with his energetic and lively performances since returning to the first team under Klopp. These performances have not gone unnoticed and Real Madrid are monitoring the 23 year old.
His agent Javier Moya told radio 4G:
‘It’s logical that they ask about such an important player, ‘They are asking about him. Important teams from Spain and other places are asking.
‘If a team like Real Madrid speak with us and Liverpool are satisfied with the operation, they could talk. If a team with the substance of Real Madrid makes an offer, it would be a joy for him,’ Moya added.
‘It’s difficult. Everyone knows the importance of Real Madrid but Liverpool have five European Cups. You have to give the first step to Liverpool.’
Moya also added that his client is happy at the Merseyside and the defender will remain focused at Anfield despite link with Real Madrid.
‘He loves it [in Liverpool],’ he said. ‘He’s getting to know another culture and playing in one of the most important leagues. And, above all, he’s in the first team.’
