Manchester United played out another draw but good enough it’s not a goalless draw as the Red Devils were held 1-1 at the King Power stadium. Here is how the players fared:
DE GEA (5.5)
The Spaniard had little to do all through the game because majority of the match was played in the Leicester City half, but he should have done more to keep out Vardy’s strike. He did thwart Mahrez’s attempt.
Showed good strength to recover whenever Leicester threatened on the counter attack.
The youngster put in an impressive performance, he hardly did anything wrong on the night and showed good attacking intent.
Was guilty of not tracking Jamie Vardy’s run in the build up to the Leicester city goal and his pull out balls were awful, a shadow of himself when playing for United compared to the Italian national side.
Assisted Bastian Schweinsteiger’s goal with a perfectly delivered corner kick, he is improving his game for United.
Back from injury and back into the squad, didn’t look like he was injured as he did the ‘’CARRICK JOB’’ that’s seat deep and pass the ball around.
The German has taken Paul Scholes criticism in a positive way, moving further forward to support the attack and scoring in his second consecutive game; Vardy’s record isn’t in threat.
Showed great ball control but failed to create any cutting edge as he got closed down quick.y by the Leicester City players.
Gave former United player; Simpson a tough time but his work was cut short when players started doubling on him, his ball deliveries weren’t as precise as it should be.
Always working hard for the team, but could not pull off any trick from his hat, nice game but could do better.
Poor performance from the Skippers; couldn’t muster a shot on goal, needs to get into the box more often.
He is showing the desire to play but no spark yet, still has room for improvement.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Bastian Schweinsteiger for showing leadership qualities when the team is down
FLOP OF THE MATCH
Matteo Darmien for not tracking Vardy for the opening goal and for being wasteful when in vital position to cross the ball to the attackers.
