Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has claimed he will not be making major changes to his squad when the transfer window opens in January.
The blues started the season in abysmal form and sit 15th on the premier league table after 13 games. The blues have so far lost seven games, and won four of their league games this term. The club has been linked with a number of January targets as they hope to get their season back on track but Jose Mourinho insists he won’t be making a major overhaul in his squad when the winter transfer window opens.
However, the Portuguese is known for keeping his card close to himself when it comes to transfer dealings. In previous windows, the blues boss publicly denied wanting to bring in players while working hard behind the scenes to bring in top talents that will improve his squad.
The Portuguese said at a press conference: ‘I will not ask for any changes. I will not ask the board in January. I’m happy with the players. I trust the players.
‘I don’t need to clean the dressing room, as I heard was written somewhere. And I don’t need to ask the club to spend money in January.
‘We put ourselves in a great situation together by being champions. We put ourselves together in this situation in the Premier League. We have to be together, again, to put it right.’
Mourinho’s Chelsea will face high flying Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend in a game that will be a morale booster should the blues manage to get all three points.
