Red Star Belgrade midfielder is keen on a move to European giants Chelsea or Barcelona. The midfielder sees a move to either of these clubs as a dream move.
The midfielder is also attracting interest from Inter Milan and earlier in the week, Grujic revealed talks with Inter Milan’s assistant manager saying:
I’ll talk to Dejan Stankovic. He called me three weeks ago. He told me to continue this way since Inter is following me.
‘At the end of the season I’ll go to Milano to talk to Inter. It’s a possible destination.
‘Now I’m at Red Star, we’re first in the league and I want to win the title. Then I could come to Italy. I don’t think I’ll move in January, there are certainly more possibilities in june.
However, the midfielder has talked up Chelsea’s interest and sees it as a dream move he will love to make at some point in his career but also stated he is happy to stay with Belgrade:
‘Nemanja Matic is a friend, he’s Serbia and he’s been at Chelsea for more than a year. He told me they want me.’
“Patience is really important for my career. Some of my peers have decided to leave their respective clubs, while I decided to stay and this turned out to be the right move for me.
“I never doubted my decision to stay with Red Star. This choice could help my future growth, when I move abroad one day.
“It was difficult refuse an offer very tempting when things here at the Red Star were going badly, but now things have improved.
“I hope one day to play at Chelsea or Barcelona, but not immediately.”
Grujic could be a long term replacement and cover for Nemanja Matic.
