Manchester United are looking to snap up Saido Berahino from West Brom according to reports.
United are making a £25 Million move to sign the Burundi born Striker according to reports. United look increasingly short of fire power up front and it may be their major undoing if they fail to address that situation.
Anthony Martial brought in for a huge fee of £36 Million has adjusted to life in the Premier league; scoring in his debut against Liverpool and also scoring in subsequent games. He is suffering from injury picked up while representing France in an international friendly at Wembley against England.
Skipper, Wayne Rooney had been in a poor form for United in the league this season. The all-time leading scorer in England is now a shadow of his former self, scoring just twice in the league so far this season. He missed the Red devils game against Watford at Vicarage road due to illness, after completing the full 90 minutes against France.
Berahino showed last season that he is ready to step into the top teams with his goals and performances last season. Spurs wanted the player to join their squad during the last transfer window but West Brom held firm, prompting the player to put in s transfer request which was equally turned down. Berahino swore never to play for West Brom again; but in life, never say never as he is back in the team scoring goals.
United need a striker with pedigree and Harry Kane has shown more consistency and potency in front of goal and has started scoring on a regular basis for Spurs. United should rather bid for Kane or QPR’s Charlie Austin ahead of Berahino because the duo are complete strikers that could score with both legs and very good in the air.
