Manchester United are preparing a move for Chelsea’s highly rated youth team star Charly Musonda.
The Belgian international is frustrated at the lack of first team chances at Stamford Bridge this season.
The young midfielder, who is highly regarded by the Blues coaching staffs, is keen to play at a higher level, and this could prompt him to leave the Blues with is contract still on till the summer of 2019.
According to online publication Foot Mercato, the Red Devils are keen to take advantage of the situation and are willing to offer 10.6 Million to take him to Old Trafford and provide him a chance to compete for a place in the first team.
Jose Mourinho is not known to give youth chance at any club he has ever coached, He prefer to stick with his ‘big guns’. With Chelsea at the wrong end of the league table, Experimenting with a player like Musonda is totally off the option. Furthermore, the Blues have over 30 players out on loan, so competition for a place in the first team is tough.
If Musonda eventually decides to make a switch to United, he would be booed by the fact that he is going to be playing under a Coach famed for giving youngsters the opportunity to excel.
Players like Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Thomas Muller, Victor Valdes etc. all got their opportunities to excel through Louis Van Gaal and in the current Manchester United squad, and players like Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, Axel Tuanzebe, and Johnson- Borthwick etc. are coming through the youth ranks into the first team.
