Chelsea are preparing a transfer bid for Boca Juniors striker Jonathan Calleri, according to reports.
Chelsea scouts in South America have watched the Argentine hotshot for quite sometime and recently watched him this week in a friendly match against Puebla from Mexico.
Calleri is highly rated and considered one of the best young talents emerging from South America. The striker already has 21 goals and 11 assists to his name this season.
ESPN reports that the blues are currently weighing up a move for the 22 year old as they search for a striker in the January transfer window.
Stoke City and Inter Milan were reportedly keen on the striker last summer but a move failed to materialize while Liverpool and Arsenal also watched the striker last season.
