Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez is reportedly a shock target for one of the Gunners Premier league rivals.
Manchester United are eyeing a move for the Chilean, According to Spanish outlet Don Balon.
The report says Louis Van Gaal has told Sanchez he could be the ‘corner stone’ of his Red devils side. Sanchez scored twice against United when the two sides met at the Emirates in October.
Louis Van Gaal is happy to offer £53M for the player and Sanchez would even snub a move to Real Madrid for a switch to Old Trafford. The deal seems unlikely, as Arsene Wenger would not want to strengthen a Premier league rival. Wenger sold Robin Van Persie to United and the striker was instrumental in delivering United’s 20th premier league title, scoring against Arsenal on both fixtures and went on to win the highest goal scorers award much to the dismay of Arsene Wenger.
Last Season, United sold Manchester United born Danny Welbeck to the Gunners for £16M, the young striker went on to eliminate the Red devils from the FA Cup at Old Trafford much to the dismay of the Old Trafford faithfuls.
It would be hard to see a deal ensue between the two clubs at the moment, especially as it involves a high profile player in the calibre of Alexis Sanchez.
