Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera hopes Victor Valdes can get a move away in the January transfer window. Herrera reckons that if Valdes leaves United in January, he will once again be a force to reckon with as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
‘’I think he still has room to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world again. I think that just before his injury he was the best in the world, the former Athletic Bilbao ace told Radio Catalunya’’
Valdes, 33, has been frozen out of the first team by Coach Louis Van Gaal and is believed to be actively seeking a move away from Old Trafford. Valdes has won numerous trophies with his former club FC Barcelona and shouldn’t be short of suitors.
Newcastle United is reportedly been in advance talks to bring the Spanish shot stopper to the Sports Direct Arena from Old Trafford. Liverpool are also keen on having the goalkeeper in their payroll so January transfer window is a time for the goalkeeper to try and resurrect his playing career by leaving the theatre of dreams.
His contract expires in the summer where he can leave for free; although his agent Gines Carvajal is hoping United would allow Valdes leave in the January transfer window.
