Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola has hit out as his former club’s players, Eden Hazard and Diego Costa.
The Italian criticized the Underperforming duo and claimed that they are responsible for the club’s current crisis.
The Italian is also disappointed in the blues defense line but believes the club has the quality to turn results around.
Zola, who spent seven years of his career at Chelsea between 1996 and 2003, said of his former club.
“There is one compelling reason for the poor start to the season,”
“The poor form of key offensive players Eden Hazard and Diego Costa has not helped. Defensively as well the team has dropped the standards set last year.
“The players have lost confidence as a group and this has led to poor results. The club has it in them to turn around their fortunes.”
Chelsea are currently experiencing their worst start to a season. The blues have lost seven of their twelve EPL games with the blues winning just three. The blues recently suffered three consecutive league losses to West Ham, Liverpool and Stoke City and sit 16th on the log table.
