Manchester United and Chelsea are tracking Valencia’s centre defender, Shokdran Mustafi, according to Tribalfootball.
The report claims that Chelsea and Manchester United have both sent scouts to watch the German defender in action. Both clubs are looking at the possibility of luring the centre back to the EPL.
Chelsea are in need of a centre-back after trying to sign Everton’s John Stones and PSG’s Marquinho’s last summer, the blues failed in a bid to sign any of the defenders and the West London club are ready to turn their attention to a number of targets which includes Romas Kostas Manolas and Valencia’s Shokdran Mustafi.
Manchester united are said to be willing to pay up to £22m for the Centre back as they look to shore up their defense.
The German defender Joined Valencia from Sampdoria last year for £7m and has become a regular in the Valencia line up since moving to Spain.
Tottenham were said to be interested in the defender last summer but a move failed to materialize as the defender chose to stay in Spain.
Mustafi does have some experience of the Barclays Premier League after spending some time with Everton between 2009 and 2012.
The defender struggled for game time at Everton and was then moved to Sampdoria.
