Jurgen Klopp made one alteration for the trip to Stamford Bridge, with Roberto Firmino coming in for Divock Origi.
Christian Benteke was only fit enough for a place on the bench, which saw Firmino start as the “false nine” for the Reds.
Lucas and Emre Can started at the base of midfield as Klopp rolled out a 4-2-3-1 formation. James Milner featured on the right of the three advanced midfield positions, Philippe Coutinho was on the left, while Adam Lallana started in the number ten role.
Benteke is expected to return to the starting XI against Crystal Palace, leaving Milner and Lallana to battle for a spot in the attacking midfield positions, with Firmino looking a certain starter along with Coutinho, provided the latter overcomes a minor hamstring complaint.
Jordon Ibe is another option in the wide areas after impressing in the midweek Europa League tie.
The back four is set to be unchanged from the Stamford Bridge victory. Dejan Lovren is an alternative in central defence, though Kolo Toure remains out with a hamstring problem.
Jordan Henderson, Joe Gomez, Danny Ings, Jon Flanagan and Daniel Sturridge continue to be sidelined through injury.
