Chelsea are reportedly targeting Real Madrid midfielder Isco, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is set to personally approach the Spaniard’s club over a potential move to West London.
Roman Abramovich is said to personally sanction the deal as the Russian is keen on the Spanish midfielder.
The Daily Star claims Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea side will make a move for the Spanish international when the transfer window opens in January with the club keen to know how much the playmaker would cost.
In the club’s pecking order, Isco is currently behind Luka Modric, James Rodriguez, Toni kroos, Gareth Bale and Mateo Kovacic who joined the Spanish giants last summer and the Spanish international is keen to move to a club that will offer him more game time as the playmaker eyes’ a place in Spain’s setup that will travel to France for the European Championship in 2016.
The 23 year old can play in a variety of positions but is more dangerous when played behind the striker because of his superb range of passing and his ability to ghost past defenders.
Isco has scored 12 goals in 73 appearances for Real Madrid since joining the club in 2013.
