Manchester United are reportedly set to beat Chelsea to the signing of Serbian wonder kid Marko Grujic.
Grujic a member of the Serbian under 20 world cup winning squad in New Zealand earlier in the year. The 19 year old Red star Belgrade midfielder described as the new Nemanja Matic is valued around £3M and is touted as the next big thing in Serbian football.
The red devils should move swiftly to wrap up a deal for a player highly rated and come at a bargain than allow Chelsea to steal a deal ahead of them just as Chelsea have already done to United in the past. With the case of Nigerian international John Obi Mikel from Lyn Oslo in Norway, and most recently Pedro Rodriguez from FC Barcelona.
According to the Mirror, Chelsea have around 33 players out on loan already, that is a bad sign for young players that want to develop their career. It appears Chelsea either buy this players for the business end of the game or preventing rivals from getting their hand on these potentials because in the Chelsea squad, you will rarely find a teenage player being given a run in.
United are known to give young talents opportunity to excel, like the class of 92 that ended up winning the title. The likes of Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary and Phil Neville, Nicky Butt etc to Luke shaw, Martial, Mc Neir, Perrera and Jessy Lingard in the Van Gaal Team.
So United should sign Marko Grujic as a direct replacement for the ageing Michael Carrick and Bastian Schweinsteiger on a long term. Chelsea already have Brazilian Ramirez and Serbian Nemanja Matic who both have age on their side and don’t have a need for Marko Grujic at the moment or anytime soon.
